What is the “Farmer In All of Us” program?

The Farmer in All of Us program is a joint effort between Ram Trucks and the National FFA Organization to identify and celebrate every-day people in agriculture who are making a difference in their communities.

How is Ram Trucks associated with the National FFA?

For more than 60 years Ram Trucks has supported the National FFA and its mission of premier leadership, personal growth and career success. Following Ram’s 2013 Big Game ad that honored the American farmer, Ram donated $1 million to the FFA.

Why are you asking me to nominate someone (or nominate myself)?

We want to honor and celebrate those making a difference in agriculture and need your help to identify who those people are.

Who should I nominate?

You should nominate anyone whose agriculture work has made a difference in his/her community or whose values and work ethic best represent the characters described in Ram’s “Farmer” ad featuring Paul Harvey’s iconic speech, “God Made A Farmer”. What happens after I submit my nomination?

All nomination submissions received will be reviewed in order to choose (3) winners whose stories will be documented by a film crew and profiled through a custom video segment that will premier during the 2018 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. What additional requests are required by nominees should they be chosen as a winner?

All winners must be agreeable and willing to make themselves available and accessible to participate in the filming of a professional video prior to October 5th, 2018 as well as be available to travel and attend the National FFA Convention & Expo from October 24 – 27, 2018.

What does filming entail?

A small film crew will schedule a date/time to visit each finalist his/her hometown to spend 1 day capturing his/her story.

Will winners get paid?

Each of the (3) chosen submissions will receive all-inclusive travel accommodations (winner and guest) to the 2018 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 24, 2018 – October 27, 2018. Accommodation includes airfare, lodging, all-access badges for the convention (including concert and rodeo tickets) gift card for transportation costs, food and incidentals. What are the qualifications to win?

Eligible entries will be judged by a panel of FFA alumni on the criteria set forth below:

  • Authenticity – The submission is conveyed in a manner which evokes emotion, serving as an inspiration/motivational tool for the reader (25%)
  • Contextual Relevance – The submission is relevant and appropriate to the indicated theme (25%)
  • Audience Appeal – The submission is family friendly, attractive and resonates among a larger audience, (25%)
  • Quality of Submission – The submission captures the essence of the Contest and clearly articulates the impact of the nominee (25%)

When will winners be selected?

On or around September 10th, 2018.

Can I save my nomination form progress?

Yes, you may save your progress once the form has been started and return to finish and submit.

When is the nomination deadline?

The nomination window begins on August 15, 2018 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and ends on August 31, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Winners will be selected from all eligible Entries on or around September 10, 2018. Each winner will be notified by email and/or phone call no later thanSeptember 14, 2018 During the nomination window, the panel of judges may contact potential winners to confirm his/her ability and availability to participate fully.

What do I get for nominating someone?

The person that makes the nomination and completes the online form will not be compensated.

Can I nominate someone who is not associated with the National FFA?

Yes, while the National FFA has impacted millions of people who have contributed to agriculture, we recognize that there are many deserving nominees who are not FFA alumni or affiliated with FFA.

If the nominee doesn’t drive a Ram Truck, is he/she still eligible?

All nominees are eligible, Ram is committed to identifying and celebrating our nations agricultural leaders and innovators regardless of vehicle ownership.

What happens at the National FFA Convention & Expo?

Every year, FFA members nationwide converge in one place to celebrate their accomplishments and find inspiration for their next steps.
